Recent advances in the use of donor lymphocyte infusion following allogeneic stem cell transplantation have illustrated that CLL cells is an excellent target of a graft versus leukemia (GVL) effect, although the target antigen may be minor histocompatibility antigens on CLL cells rather than true CLL specific tumor associated antigens. We aim to assess the nature of T-cell mediated and tumor immune responses following allergenic stem cell transplantation for CLL, and in particular, aim to assess whether there is evidence for a tumor specific graft versus leukemia effect in CLL.
